this was one of my favorite books as a child! i’ve enjoyed some of l’engle’s adult novels too.

I read this last year for the first time and really enjoyed it~also the sequels. One caveat on the sequel *Many Waters*–I would recommend previewing it. The main characters face serious sexual temptation, and although they choose rightly, the book delves into the matter more intensely than I would have expected for that age group/author. I don’t know what age your sons are, but you might want to check it out first.

I just recently read this book and enjoyed it as well. so much that I rand out and bought two of the three sequels. Alas, Number Two was sold out.
