i think this book is great. the auther really gives out clues of what is going to happen next and gives great description. she is a great auther and number the stars really teaches you a lesson about two girls who are very good friends and ellen a jewish child is running away from the nazi soildiers with her friends and her families help. annamarie and her family really risk thier lives to get ellen and her family safe and away from the nazi soildiers in other words the book is one of the best i have read.

I read this while still in elementary school, and it’s definitely one that stuck with me. It’s a great story!

This was one of our favorite books of the year. Excellent introduction to the Holocaust for younger kids, too.
