I’m western also. I suspect that my Eastern Utah accent is a bit different than most western accents, or so I’ve been told.
Funny. You live in the midwest and have a western accent. I live in the west and have a neutral accent. I’ve been saying stock and stalk to myself and I’m pretty sure I say them the same way.
I think I do say “stock” and “stalk” ever so slightly differently.
