Movies I watch when I’m happy and want to celebrate or when I’m sad and need a pick-me-up. I’ve seen these more than 10 times each!
- Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
- Solaris (George Clooney version, although I like the Russian version as well)
- Lost in Translation
- Hamlet (Ethan Hawke version)
- Romeo + Juliet (DiCaprio/Danes version)
- Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure
- The Princess Bride
- The Fellowship of the Ring
- A Knight’s Tale
- Amadeus
- Immortal Beloved
- Sleepless in Seattle
- Groundhog Day

I didn’t know you liked Lord of the Rings, 3M. I’m kind of a nut about all three movies, to tell you the truth. I was even before I found out that Bret McKenzie from Flight of the Conchords was in ‘Fellowship’ (he played an elf). Just amazing films.
Bill and Ted, The Princess Bride and Sleepless in Seattle are all among my upper movies, too. Solaris is buried here, somewhere. I thought it was strange, but I liked it. And, then I buried it.
Groundhog Day is a favorite of both my husband and me.
I love The Princess Bride and A Knight’s Tale. Two of my old stand-bys.
I love The Princess Bride, although Sense and Sensibility is the one movie that I like to watch when I need an emotional pick-me-up!
