September 23 – December 21
My choices:
1. Kristin Lavransdatter by Sigrid Undset. This is a 1000+ page book (actually, it’s made up of 3 books) that is on several of my challenge lists. I would like to read each of the 3 books by Oct. 21, Nov. 21, and Dec. 21.
2. Cricket on the Hearth by Charles Dickens. This is an 1840′s book that I’m using so I can have 18 consecutive decades for the decades challenge.
3. Wednesday Letters by Jason F. Wright. Just because it looked interesting.

I enjoy your blog. Always on the look out for book reviews. When I saw you are planning on reading KL I had to leave you a note of encouragement. It is one of my favorite books and I wish everyone would read it. I have recently found the Tiina Nunnally translation and it is an easier translation to read BUT I think you lose some of the rich language. Enoy!

Wow. KL is a BIG undertaking! I’m super
impressed. I will be looking for your review!! I
wasn’t all that thrilled with it, but I only read the
first book!
I’ve never heard of that big book, you sure are ambitious. That looks like a good way to break it down though.
The Charles Dickens book sounds intriguing. I should try a Dickens someday.
Kim, I have the Nunnally translation, and I’ve heard good things about it.
Stephanie and raidergirl3, I have KL on a lot of my challenge lists! I really wanted to read it this year, and that may be the only way I get it read!
You go, 3M! Tackling a big chunkster is worthy challenge. I have never heard of the Cricket one by Dickens. The title intrigues me so I went to amazon and ordered a used copy. Do you mind if I read it for this challenge, too? It sounds like it should be read this time of the year.
Looking forward to your review on Wednesday Letters. That title sounds good, too.
Booklogged, that’d be great if you read Cricket, too.
We can compare notes!
I recently ordered THE WEDNESDAY LETTERS..should be getting it soon. Do let me know how you liked it.
I like that you have set dates when you want to read things by.

I just have visited your blog for the first time. I can’t wait to read more. Good luck with your list!
Just stopping by to thank you for being part of Fall into Reading! I hadn’t heard of The Wednesday Letters — it looks interesting. Enjoy your reading!
Enjoy the reading challenge! I love that you have Dickens on your list!
Part of the fun of this challenge is
seeing everyone’s lists…
But another part of the fun is
finding new blogs:-) I love yours!
