I just finished Tears of the Giraffe. I had to take a little nap, so I slept until about 4:15 am, then started reading again. This book was great. I encourage anyone to pick up this series. It was perfect for the read-a-thon.
I’m happy with how I did. A little over 12 hours of pure reading time and over 700 pages read, with 2.75 books completed. I’m glad I made headway on Lisey’s Story, and I’ll finish that later today or tomorrow. I can’t read scary books like that late at night, though, so switching to Tears of the Giraffe was a perfect fit.
I really enjoyed this, and I hope I can participate next year. Thanks, Dewey!!!
