1. Lisey’s Story by Stephen King
2. The Halloween Tree by Ray Bradbury
3. Gossamer by Lois Lowry
4. Evenings on a Farm in Dikanka by Nikolai Gogol
The best by far was Gossamer, and I really enjoyed the Gogol stories as well. I’m already planning on what to read for next year.

I didn’t realize Gossamer would count as an RIP book. I know nothing about the storyline, only that Lois Lowry wrote it. I have it on my shelf and I think I’ve listed it for a 2008 challenge. Glad to hear you liked it so well.
I’ll have to check out my library’s copy of Gossamer. So many people seem to really like it.
