Friday Fill-In

1. When my blog is broken, I have to fix it as soon as possible.

2. I saw the most amazing three males in the world this morning!

3. The Kite Runner is the new movie I’m most looking forward to seeing (after I read the book).

4. Work: Necessary and essential to do all the other things we want to do in life.

5. Of all the new tv shows, I enjoy Kid Nation the most.

6. If only there were more hours in a day.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to watching Stargate Atlantis, tomorrow my plans include viewing the damage from an ice storm, and Sunday, I want to do something fun with my family.

My favorite was A Tree Grows in Brooklyn. I really loved Francie. I won’t pick a least favorite because I enjoyed all my choices. Thanks, Kathrin!

Jane Austen Mini-Challenge

Find out more info here.

This challenge lasts for all of 2008, and the goal is to read two Jane Austen books or watch their movie adaptations. I had already decided to read four Austen books (for the Themed Reading Challenge) in preparation for the Masterpiece Theatre Jane Austen Marathon in January and February. I have already read Persuasion and Pride & Prejudice, and of the six Masterpiece Theatre adaptations they’re going to show, I’ve seen Emma and Pride & Prejudice at least 2-3 times each. The other four are new, and they will also be showing a Jane Austen biography.

So my goal for this challenge is to read the books I haven’t read yet and to view the biography and the adaptations I haven’t seen.

Books:

  • Northanger Abbey
  • Mansfield Park

New movie adaptations:

  • Northanger Abbey VIEWED 6/2008
  • Sense and Sensibility VIEWED 6/2008
  • Mansfield Park VIEWED 6/2008
  • Persuasion

Jane Austen biography:

  • Miss Austen Regrets VIEWED 6/2008
