Do you use any of the online book-cataloging sites, like Library Thing or Shelfari? Why or why not?
If not an online catalog, do you use any other method to catalog your book collection? Excel spreadsheets, index cards, a notebook, anything?
My answer: Yes, I use LibraryThing and love it. I don’t have all my books in my library yet as I have tons of book boxes ready to be unpacked from a move, but there are still quite a few listed. Also, I like being part of the Early Reviewer program. Got my first book last month on the first try! The social aspect is very nice, too. I enjoy the conversation going on in many groups. Long live LibraryThing!
There aren’t many Early Reviewer books available yet in the UK, but I live in hope! One of the features I really like about Library Thing is shared books, especially if it’s a book not many other readers have – I like then to see where they are, and what other interesting books they have in their libraries.
I’d love to get an Early Reviewer book too. From one LibraryThing enthusiast to another, I see we share 58 (or is it 60?) books and they’re some of my favourites.
I haven’t really gotten into the social side of Library Thing! One day maybe!

I use LT too. I lurk on several groups and LT is responsible for my TBR list growing exponentially.

When I found Library Thing last year, I went ahead and purchased the life-time subscription. Figured I would use it!! I’m gradually adding my books. But with the amount I have, it could take a while!!
I am waiting for my 2nd Early Reviewer book. I’m totally excited!!

Ok, I’m the odd-person out. I have never used LT. I guess I need to investigate it further than I did earlier this summer!
I have a LT account but I stopped using it awhile back. It got to be a pain lol.
I use BookCrossing and Goodreads for my social book activities. I have a home made catalog for tracking my books. Happy BTT.
