I read <i>A Tree Grows in Brooklyn</i> this year, and it made my highlights list too. (I can't believe I'd never read it before!) I'm definitely going to try to get to <i>The Book Thief</i>, <i>Snow Flower</i>, and some of the others on your list in the near future. To Kill a Mockingbird, The Secret Life of Bees, The Giver, and The Handmaid’s Tale are all-time favorites of mine. I read A Tree Grows in Brooklyn this year, and it made my highlights list too. (I can’t believe I’d never read it before!) I’m definitely going to try to get to The Book Thief, Snow Flower, and some of the others on your list in the near future.
