Hosted by Bellezza, the Japanese Literature Challenge is my first challenge completed in 2008.
I read:
- After Dark by Haruki Murakami (NYT Notable book)
- Strangers by Taichi Yamada
- Silence by Endo
I really enjoyed all three of these, but my favorite was Silence. I want to read more by all three authors, so I hope you have another Japanese challenge next year! Thanks Bellezza, for a wonderful challenge!
That’s so fun to read that this challenge was the first completed of the year for you! Endo was my favorite author as well; even though I didn’t read Silence, I definitely will because Wonderful Fool was so excellent. Thank you, Michelle, for joining in the challenge!
