I spent a couple of hours today reading Sitting Practice by Caroline Adderson. This book was sent to me by the LibraryThing Early Reviewers program. It’s about a newlywed couple, Ross and Iliana, who are struggling with the aftermath of a tragic car accident in which the wife is paralyzed. I’m enjoying it so far. It has a few other themes as well, some of which include religion and the bonds between twins. Adderson is Canadian so I’m thankful I can use this for the Canadian Literature Challenge.
In other news, my kids have been sick this past week, and I fear I’m getting sick as well. Usually I’m the last one to get it, if I get it at all. My immune system is usually fairly strong. Sometimes I’ll go years without going to the doctor. I’m one of those who don’t go, though, even when I am sick. Or at least I have to be forced to go.
I hope everyone else is staying warm and healthy!

I hope everyone is healthy now!
I’m like you. I rarely get sick, and I don’t like going to doctors! Everything seems to run through our family, though. I hope your family is all well soon.
Oh, dear, hope you feel well, soon!
Uh oh, I hope you can stay clear of the cruds. Vitamin C for you! =)
It’s been raining here. Raining? In Feb? Not our usual weather.
It’s hard to stay healthy when everyone around you is sick. I had two other people sniffling and coughing in bed last night with me.
You are dong well on the Canadian challenge.
The flu is going around. Almost everyone at the University has come down with it (except my husband..thankfully).
Hope your kids feel better soon!
Oh Michelle, I hope you stay healthy. I’ve been sick for weeks now and I’m ready to get better! I hate this time of year with all the flu and colds – and I work around sickness all the time, so it is always a threat to my own health! Feel better soon!!!
Kookie, it’s here, too. Not that we’re that far apart. Quite a few are sick at my kids’ school. Hope you and your husband stay well!
