Today I read just a bit of Cat’s Eye by Margaret Atwood and a couple of Carol Shields’ short stories. I guess it was a Canadian Sunday. I’m a bit behind in the Canadian Reading Challenge, but I have a great line-up coming up. I’m excited to read Anne of Green Gables in the 100th anniversary year. I’m also participating in the Russian Reading Challenge and the Africa Reading Challenge in 2008. The Japanese challenge was fun, too, and I’d really like to read more by all three authors. Reading world literature is definitely one of the best changes in my reading habits over the last year.

It’s interesting to see your reading broken down by the nationality of the authors. I’d like to do that, too, I think. Maybe I’ll turn it into a meme!
Wow is it really 100 years since the Green Gables books were written! They truly are classics. I have read most of the series repeatedly but discovered some time last year that there were a final two I hadn’t come across – they’re on my TBR – but I really want to read the whole series one after the other!
