  • I had looked forward to “Memory Keeper,” largely to watch Dermot Mulroney in a serious role. But the script didn’t deliver what it could have. There were so many gaps: events only hinted at; themes undeveloped; personalities unplumbed. And these excellent actors weren’t given a fair opportunity to use their range of talents.

“Memory Keeper” could have been a meatier exploration of personal and familial dynamics, let alone Down Syndrome. All the elements were there to be grasped and aggressively wrestled with! It sadly didn’t deliver the goods.
