Thanks, Book Nut, for hosting this challenge!  None of these were easy reads, but I’m glad I read them all.

I chose to read 4 books from Category 1:

1. The Bluest Eye by Toni Morrison
2. The Translator by Daoud Hari
3. Beloved by Toni Morrison
4. Things Fall Apart by Achebe
