What did I choose? I ended up getting Doctor Zhivago by Boris Pasternak. I realized after I got it that maybe I should have selected another ‘expanding horizons’ title, but I really wanted this title in the Everyman’s Library hardcover. I’ve had a mass market paperback of this for years, and I think perhaps that’s why I hadn’t read it before. (I don’t care for mass markets.) So, I had this slated for the Russian Reading Challenge and for Read the Nobels, and it’s a classic I know I’ll want to keep and treasure. I’m really grateful — thanks Melissa!
