Summer Reading Challenge
Kathleen from Rock Creek Rumblings is hosting the Summer Reading Challenge from June 1 through August 31, 2008.

The purpose is to encourage “intentional” reading–that is, to have a plan and stick to it! Intentional reading, hmm, that means no substitutions! We’ll see if that can be accomplished. Maybe I’ll only choose 3 titles — that way I know I’ll finish the challenge!

- Sophie’s World by Jostein Gaarder
- The Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver
I’m interested to see what you think of Sophie’s World. I tried to read it but got bogged down in all the philosophy, even though it’s something that interests me. My friend encouraged me to read the story and skip the philosophical parts, but I haven’t gotten around to that yet.
And The Poisonwood Bible is one of my all-time favorite books. I hope you like it!
