The Borden Tragedy
by Rick Geary

I only vaguely knew the story of Lizzie Borden, so this little graphic novel was really an engrossing look at this true crime. Geary’s drawings are great, and he presents cases both for Lizzie Borden’s guilt and for her innocence. The back of the book also has reproductions of the actual newspaper clippings. Fascinating story!
This book is part of the Treasury of Victorian Murder series that I will have to look into!

I just borrowed this from the library this weekend. Weird coincidence!
haven’t read it yet, but soon.
I remember reading a book on her awhile back. And I remember the nursery school rhyme about her and it never fails to creep me out just like it’s doing now. Did you end up thinking she did it?
So glad you liked this! I am addicted to this series. The Lizzie Borden story has been one that always fascinated me, I think she was innocent and her sister did it!

regarding my At a Loss for Words giveaway please. Thank you.
It sounds like an interesting book and the case itself is still one of those hotly debated cases. I may have to give this one a go.

This sounds interesting. The whole series does. Is it something new that just came out or are they older?
I’ve never been a big reader of “true crime” books. But I would really like to read this one!! I was watching a TV show on The History Channel the other day about Lizzie Borden, and the house the murders took place in. It’s said to be “haunted”. Interesting!!
So glad to see you enjoyed this one, too!
