I love participating in Dewey’s readathons. Although I’m not going to be able to participate the entire time, I should still get about 10 hours of reading time in during the official hours. I’ll be able to read from 7am CT to 3 or 4pm CT and then perhaps again in the wee hours of Sunday morning. I’ve decided to give $5 per hour spent reading to two different organizations ($10 per hour total). The ones I’ve chosen are Operation Christmas Child and the Angel Tree program. Operation Christmas Child gives gift-filled shoe boxes to children around the world and Angel Tree gives Christmas presents to children of prisoners. To learn more, please click on either icon.
