Click on the logo for the list. I’ve only read Unaccustomed Earth, which I loved, and Breath, which I didn’t at all care for. The only other one from the list that I’m definitely reading before the end of the year is When Will There Be Good News.
How many have you read? Do you agree or disagree with their choices?

Hmmm…I’ve not read any of these, and there are only a few I’m interested in (Sea of Poppies, Unaccustomed Earth, Acedia and Me, maybe The Likeness).
But no White Tiger? (I know not everyone liked it, but it won the Booker and, well, I liked it.) No Home? (I haven’t read it yet, but it’s Marilynne Robinson.) And Laurie R King’s Touchstone belongs on the mystery list.
I’ve read 0 but then I often haven’t read many books on these kinds of lists.
However I’ve only HEARD of THe Likeness, Unaccustumed Earth, The Story of Edgar Sawtelle, Outliers, An Exact Replica of a Figment of my Imagination, AUdition, Acedia and Me (own it but not read yet), The Shape of Mercy, The Day Leo Said I hate you, Nation and the Year we disappeared (want to read it)
Even though I’ve read about 80 books published this year, I’ve only read one thing on the list: “Pump Six” and it wasn’t even the entire book. I read the title story in the Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction.
I’ve read a handful on the list, but I admit PW seldom gets into the types of books that I do read.
Wow, I’ve only read one, and I intensely disliked it! Mikita Brottman’s The Solitary Vice: Against Reading. Stinker. Bleck!
Teresa, I liked The White Tiger, too. I was also surprised HOME wasn’t on the list. I’ll have to check out the King!
Callista, lots of time I don’t know anything about the titles that get on the list, either. I do want to read The Likeness (after In the Woods).
Pussreboots, wow! I’ve read a little over 30, but 80 is amazing!
Adventures in Reading, sometime I wonder how some books even get on the list.
Andi, sorry you didn’t like the one you read. It’s good to know I don’t have to worry about that one!
[...] the Year lists start coming in… The first list that I’ve seen (brought to my attention by the 1morechapter.com blog) has just arrived from the American Publishers Weekly. And it is a pretty long list! I’m [...]
