I’ve finally decided on a charity for the read-a-thon. I chose Books for Africa, which I found through the Charity Navigator site. I will be donating a flat amount of $50. Their website says that 50 cents sends one book to a child in Africa, so $50 should be 100 books! This charity is especially appropriate since for the read-a-thon I’ll be reading at least one or two books in the No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency series, which is set in Botswana.
