Went to my local library sale here in Iowa last week, and though they didn’t have any books for 10 cents this time, I’m still pleased with my finds. I got the following 4 books for $3:
- Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society
- What the Dead Know by Laura Lippman
- On the Road by Jack Kerouac
- The Likeness by Tana French (I got In the Woods last year at this same library sale!)
And then I went to my local Goodwill (which I LOVE) and found American Pastoral by Philip Roth (a Pulitzer winner) for only $0.60.
Not bad!

Library sales are always a good thing!
I just finished the audio version of What the Dead Know. It was pretty good. Don’t you just love finding cheap books that you’ve been looking for?
Nice! I love Tana French.
Oh, great! You found some great books. Library sales are definitely worth it!
Our local library’s big sale is this weekend but they price really high. And our Goodwill sells most books for $2! Enjoy your new books…so fun!
Not bad at all!
I thought the Guernsey one was fantastic, I’d start with that one!
I AM ENVIOUS!
)
You got “Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society”… I have been meaning to buy that for a LONG time! Just that i dnt see it here
I have never read Tana French
)
I keep seeing Tana French’s books, but I’ve never read her. I can’t wait to hear what you think.
Wow! What a great snag! I started The Likeness a while back but had to stop to read for my class, and I loved In the Woods.
