Thanks for posting this! I haven’t read any of the books but I do have The Girl Who Played with Fire on my shelves.
You’re welcome! I liked (except for the graphic parts) The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo – read it last year, but I think this series might be too gritty for my tastes, and I’ve been draggin my feet on The Girl Who Played with Fire.
I read and really loved The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind. I’ve got Girl Who Played with Fire and Wolf Hall on my shelf, waiting to be read, and I’ve had The City & the City on my wish list for what feels like ages now.
My sister really liked The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind as well. Might need to look into that one.
You have not read The Girl Who Played with Fire, Stieg Larson? oh -huh! You are missing out on some great mystery
I am recommending that one to you
I haven’t read anything else on the list
I really like his writing, but I’m afraid his books are just too graphic for me.
I have Wolf Hall and The Girl Who Played with Fire on my TBR shelf. I really should hurry up and read them.
I’m thinking about Wolf Hall — especially since Laura from Musings liked it. I love some chunksters, but I’m usually afraid to start them.
I read The City & The City and I am actually shocked it made the top ten… I liked it, but I liked other books better! Otherwise I will be reading Wolf Hall and The Girl Who Played with Fire eventually…
Yeah, the one I read, Brooklyn, I liked okay but it only received 3.5/5 stars from me, so I was surprised it was in the top 10 as well.
I did see this list and admit I did enjoy Brooklyn, and The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind, but Top 10 –?? not so sure.
I might read The Girl Who Played With Fire, only because I want to know more about Lisbeth Salander. The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo left me less than satisfied, but probably because the accolades have been so high that my expectations were even higher.
I haven’t read any of the above, but plan to read the Steig Larsson soon.
I want to read Wolf Hall as well.
