Disappointed, to be sure. Also, angry? I mean, were there no books deemed worthy? Seriously? What is up with those judges? I can’t decide whether to be cross at them or agree that we truly have no worthy authors from 2011…

Bellezza, I found out that the jury recommended the 3 titles, but the Pulitzer BOARD didn’t come to a majority vote on any of them. Still, disappointing.

I loved Swamplandia! I thought it was extremely well written and imaginative without being absurd.
I didn’t read the other two finalists, but I think Karen Russell deserved the Pulitzer this year!
