Can. not. resist. Carl’s challenges! Click on the pic for more info.
I’m doing Quest the First, which is just to read 5 titles from fantasy, folklore, fairy tales, or mythology. Here’s my tentative list:
- 1Q84 by Haruki Murakami
- The Tiger’s Wife by Tea Obreht
- Green Angel by Alice Hoffman
- The Folk Keeper by Franny Billingsley
- The Blue Fairy Book by Andrew Lang
- The City and the City by China Mieville
- To Say Nothing of the Dog by Connie Willis
- American Gods by Neil Gaiman
- Kafka on the Shore by Haruki Murakami

Yaaay! I really enjoyed To Say Nothing of the Dog, I hope you enjoy it. I’m reading her short stories right now, in The Winds of Marble Arch. American Gods is also very, very good. You have some good choices there. This is such an irresistible challenge, isn’t it?

I’m not going to open the link to that challenge, because I also cannot resist challenges, and I’ve got all I can handle right now! At least, I don’t think I will…

Does that mean I’ll be seeing some Once Upon a Time options on your site soon? I think so……!!!!!

I have succeeded in resisting Carl’s challenges, merely because I know myself to completely stink at completing them. But, I always love reading about what everyone else is reading. Love Connie Willis. I need to make time for To Say Nothing of the Dog.
